This enhancement is offered only as a complete package, the parts are not available separately, as they will only show their full benefits when used together. Specially developed for the '99-'00 model year Impreza Turbo, this combination of enhancements boost peak power to 240PS @ 6,000rpm. Even more impressive, however is the 350Nm of torque available from just 3,500rpm a 20% improvement over the already prodigious 290Nm @ 4000rpm of the standard car. Such is the impact of the changes that an engine fitted with the Performance Pack will exceed the standard car's peak torque from 2,900rpm right through to 5,500rpm providing startling performance in the all important mid-range for overtaking and responsive driving. The improved performance is produced through a carefully developed combination of matched induction, exhaust and engine management modifications. To obtain maximum benefit from the package it is recommended that Super Unleaded (97RON) is used. Vehicles will run safely using normal (95RON) Premium Unleaded, but may not deliver their full potential due to the lower quality of this fuel. Performance Packages are still available for pre-'97 cars but these cars MUST run ONLY on Super Unleaded and be fitted with 16" or 17" wheels.

Development Notes The performance graph shown was derived during testing at the Motor Industry proving grounds at MIRA, using their mile straight to accurately reproduce the dynamic environment that customers cars will operate in but under controlled, repeatable conditions. The series of tests was devised and performed with a view towards consistency. The testing was done with minimum electrical drain and all the windows wound up, and comprised of   Coast from 110mph down to 10mph to calculate aerodynamic drag and rolling resistance.
